The palatial yet intimate Great Room with its high vaulted ceiling is a central gathering area. Its
focal point is an exquisite fireplace adorned with Italian marble in shades of jade. On the end
walls, hand painted murals illuminated by massive sconces enhance the regal splendor.
All decor and furnishings are original. The absolute best that was available in the 30's, they are
carefully maintained for our guests use. Despite a museum quality, the Great Room is pleasingly
inviting with its comfortable furniture and television viewing area. Two sets of wide French doors
invite guests to the second level of the surrounding stone arched veranda. Just imagine a
cocktail party in this wonderful room overflowing onto the veranda. What a spectacular view!

The Conference Room offers a unique setting
for assemblies. The focal point is a fireplace
built of stone similar to that used to construct the
inn. The mantle is decorated in a more serious
tone with pewter mugs and plates. The room is
well-lit and has banquet tables, ample space,
and numerous amenities for conducting meetings
for up to 60. The credenza is ideal for serving
refreshments. This room doubles for luncheons,
bridal or baby showers, and dinners. You may
also choose to combine dining here with the
out-of-doors on the veranda.
The Kitchen is available to families or
groups to prepare meals if the entire inn
is rented exclusively. Off-site caterers are
welcome to use the kitchen to warm or
chill food for an event. All food/beverage
preparers must meet with the staff to
discuss their responsibilities and/or
limitations at least 14 days prior to an
event.
